DC Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) and Civic Leaders Roundtable on Environmental issues
My name is Jeremiah Lowery and I am a community organizer with the Chesapeake Climate Action Network (CCAN). CCAN’s mission is to build and mobilize a powerful grassroots movement in this unique region that surrounds our nation’s capital to call for policies that will put us on a path to climate stability.
We envision a city where clean energy sources, such as solar power, are prioritized. To start moving our city in that direction, please come out to our DC Advisory Neighborhood
Commission (ANC) and Civic Leaders Roundtable on Environmental issues . During the roundtable we will discuss what environmental issues matter to you and the community that you serve and ways we can collectively create a local healthy environment for all of D.C.
We will also present upcoming local DC environmental citywide policies in development, primarily a campaign to roll back carbon pollution. Our hope is to get your feedback and input on ways we can strengthen these policies for the community members you represent!
We plan on hosting two roundtables during different times and locations. Please make plans to attend one or both if you like. You will find dates and times for the roundtables below:
